Mission:
The mission of the PhD program in Health Services is to train the next generation of health services researchers and to prepare them to provide leadership in the field. The program is designed to prepare graduates for research careers in universities, research and policy-making organizations, the health care industry, and government agencies.

Vision:
The University of Washington's PhD program in Health Services, in recognition of the complex issues facing health care today and tomorrow, is committed to training students who will contribute to the public health of the population by producing high quality research on important topics and translating the results to practice and policy.
