Welcome to the University of Washington Master of Orthotics and Prosthetics program website. The UW P&O; program has graduated leaders in the profession since 1972 and is proud to reside in the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine which is consistently ranked in the top four Rehab Departments by US News & World Report. This setting enables students to experience foundational courses led by expert faculty from diverse disciplines whose shared goal is facilitating development of highly competent clinicians.

The UW Master of Prosthetics & Orthotics program delivers a quality education to students seeking clinical careers. Curriculum strengths include:

  • Intimate learning environment (instructor/student ratio 1:12)
  • Authentic projects working with patient models
  • Clinical rotations in private and institutional settings
  • Multidisciplinary courses taken with PT and OT students
  • Clinical skill development through experiential learning
