Northwest Neighbors

Life in the Pacific Northwest

Without a doubt, one of the things that makes the UW special is our spectacular surroundings.

An abundance of natural beauty is just a short drive away — from the breathtaking peaks of the North Cascades, to a pristine high desert lake, rolling farmlands or an untouched rainforest.

A little closer to home we enjoy the distinctive character of our local neighborhoods — walk out your door to a favorite local coffee shop, trendy nightclub, farmer’s market or world-class museum.

Year after year, Seattle is listed as one of the most livable cities in America. So, it’s no surprise that many world-leading organizations — like the UW — are based here.
